Project Overview
A deployable AI voice assistant in a single file
VoxEdge is a productized AI voice assistant: you talk to it, it listens, reasons with the Claude API, and answers back in a natural voice. The twist is how it's packaged — the entire product lives in a single self-contained HTML file, built to be dropped onto ordinary Hostinger hosting and go live without a build pipeline, server, or framework.
Growth Nexus designed VoxEdge as something a non-technical owner can actually deploy and run. Speech recognition, the Claude API conversation loop, and speech synthesis all run in the browser, wrapped in a clean interface — turning a sophisticated AI assistant into a product you can ship the same afternoon you buy hosting.
The Challenge
Powerful voice AI is usually trapped behind heavy infrastructure
Most AI voice assistants demand a real stack: a backend to hold API keys, a framework, a build step, and somewhere capable to host it all. For anyone who just wants a working voice assistant on a budget host like Hostinger, that's a wall — too much setup, too many moving parts, too much to maintain.
The goal was a genuinely deployable product: full voice-in, AI-reasoned, voice-out conversation, with the simplicity of uploading one file to shared hosting and being done.
What stood in the way
Typical voice AI needs a backend, a build process, and capable hosting most small users don't have.
Browser speech recognition and synthesis are finicky and inconsistent across devices.
A natural assistant needs conversation memory and well-shaped prompts, not one-off replies.
It had to be packaged so a non-developer could deploy it to Hostinger without help.
Our Solution
The whole assistant, packaged into one Claude-powered HTML file
We built VoxEdge as a single self-contained HTML document. The browser's Web Speech API handles speech-to-text and text-to-speech, while the Claude API does the thinking — interpreting what the user said, holding the thread of the conversation, and producing natural spoken responses. No framework, no bundler, no separate backend to stand up.
Claude was chosen for its conversational quality and strong instruction-following, which keeps VoxEdge feeling coherent and on-character across a back-and-forth rather than answering in disconnected one-liners. We shaped the system prompt and managed conversation history so the assistant remembers context within a session and responds the way a real assistant should.
Around the engine we built a clean, responsive voice interface — a clear listening state, live transcript, and spoken replies — and documented a deploy path so the owner can upload the file to Hostinger, add their API key, and have a live voice assistant in minutes.
